The short version
We collect what we need to run PairadoXX™ events: your name, NSCA class, scores, and contact details so we can reach you and pay you if you win. Your name, class, team and scores appear on public leaderboards. Your email, phone and NSCA number never do. We don't sell your information, and this site has no ads, analytics or tracking of any kind.
1. Who we are
PairadoXX™ is a team format, scoring and payout system for sporting clays shoots. It is operated by Dynamic Competition Clays LLC, a Connecticut limited liability company (“PairadoXX,” “we,” “us”).
This policy covers the PairadoXX website and app, including the event listings, pre-registration, leaderboards and TV displays, and the information we collect at the PairadoXX table at a shoot. PairadoXX events are held at host clubs. Each club runs its own shoot and may have its own privacy practices for anything it collects outside PairadoXX.
2. What we collect
When you enter an event
You might pre-register online, sign in at the PairadoXX table, or have event staff enter you. In any of those cases we may collect:
- Your first and last name and your NSCA class (required).
- Your NSCA number, email address and phone number (optional, but we need a way to reach you if you win).
- Your team details: your partner, whether you are open to being paired with a random teammate, and any partner preferences you choose.
- Your scores, team results, tie-breaker results and payout amounts.
- A mailing address, if you win and your payout is sent by mail.
When you enter, we check whether you have shot PairadoXX before, so we can keep one profile per shooter and fill in details you've already given us.
From host clubs
Club accounts give us a username and password (we store only a scrambled hash of the password, never the password itself), and the club's name, phone number, email address and event details.
Automatically
- Your IP address, used briefly to limit repeated sign-in attempts and spam registrations. Our web host also keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, browser type and the pages requested.
- A session cookie while a club or administrator is signed in, plus a few small settings saved in your browser (see Cookies and storage).
We don't collect payment card or bank details through the website. Entry fees are paid at the event.
3. What's public
PairadoXX is built around live leaderboards, so anyone with the link can see some information about you.
- Shown publicly: your name, NSCA class, partner, scores, standing, tie-breaker results and payout amounts, on event leaderboards, pre-registration rosters and TV displays at the shoot. We may also post event results on our Facebook page.
- Never shown publicly: your email address, phone number, NSCA number, mailing address, or whether you chose not to be paired with a random teammate.
4. How we use your information
- To run events: build teams, record scores, rank teams, break ties and work out payouts.
- To pay winners and to contact you about your entry, such as a change, a cancellation or a payout.
- To recognize returning shooters, avoid duplicate profiles, and keep your class current.
- To send you announcements about upcoming PairadoXX events. You can opt out at any time (see Your choices).
- To keep the site secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.
- To keep records we need for accounting or to meet legal obligations.
5. Who we share it with
We don't sell or rent your personal information, and we don't share it with anyone for their own advertising. We share it only with:
- The host club for each event you enter. The club sees its entrants' details, including contact information, so it can run the shoot and, where the club handles payouts, pay winners.
- Service providers who host the website and database and deliver our email. They may use your information only to provide those services to us.
- Authorities or other parties when the law requires it, or when we need to protect the safety, rights or property of shooters, clubs or PairadoXX.
- A buyer or successor if PairadoXX or Dynamic Competition Clays LLC is sold, merged or reorganized. This policy would continue to apply to your information.
Our Facebook page and our Contact Us page are on other sites with their own privacy policies. We don't place Facebook tracking code on this site.
6. Cookies and browser storage
We don't use advertising cookies, analytics, tracking pixels, session recording, or any other tracking technology, and no third party collects information through this site. Every page, script, font and image is served from our own site, and our site tells your browser to block anything from other companies. That's why there's no cookie consent banner: there's nothing to consent to.
We use only:
- A session cookie that keeps club and administrator accounts signed in. Shooters don't need one.
- Small items saved in your browser (local storage): a private key that lets you cancel your own pre-registration from the same device, a note that you've already seen the homepage announcement, and the class you last picked on the How to Play page.
You can clear these in your browser settings at any time. If you clear the cancellation key, contact us to cancel a pre-registration instead.
7. How long we keep it
We keep shooter profiles and event results while they're useful for running PairadoXX events, keeping class records and showing past results. Club account details are kept while the account is active.
If you ask us to delete your information, we'll delete your contact details and profile. We may keep your name and scores in past results where removing them would change other teams' standings or payouts, and we may keep payout records for as long as accounting or tax rules require.
8. Your choices
- See, correct or delete your information: contact us and we'll respond within 45 days.
- Stop event announcements: reply to any announcement email asking to stop, or contact us. We'll still contact you about an event you've entered, such as a payout.
- Text messages: we won't send you marketing text messages unless you separately agree to receive them.
- Cancel a pre-registration: use the cancel option on the event page from the device you registered on, or contact us.
- Leave out optional details: your NSCA number, email and phone are optional. Without a way to reach you, we may not be able to pay you promptly if you win.
We won't treat you differently for using any of these choices.
9. Young shooters
Shooters under 18 may take part with the permission of a parent or guardian, who should give their own contact details for the entry. A junior's name, class, team and scores appear on public leaderboards in the same way as any other shooter's.
We don't knowingly collect personal information online directly from children under 13. A parent or guardian must pre-register a child under 13 or enter them at the PairadoXX table. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information without a parent's permission, contact us and we'll delete it. Parents and guardians can ask to review or delete their child's information at any time.
10. Security
The site uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Passwords are stored only as hashes. Only signed-in clubs and PairadoXX administrators can see contact details, and every club sees only its own events. No system is perfectly secure, but if we learn of a breach affecting your information, we'll notify you as the law requires.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as PairadoXX changes. We'll change the effective date at the top of this page, and we'll post a notice on the site for any significant change.
